Exploring the Reasons for the Inadequate Clinical Competency in the Newly Graduated Nurses: A Qualitative Study

Aim: The most important mission of Healthcare systems is to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. Manpower the key pillar in achieving this goal. Studies show that newly graduated nurses do not have sufficient clinical competence care for patients. This study aimed explore reasons inadequate nurses. Method: present a qualitative study. Participants were 30 individuals, including nursing students, graduates nurses, faculties, managers deputies education schools who selected by purposeful sampling method. Data collected through semi-structured interviews. data collection continued saturation. analyzed using content analysis MAXQDA 10 software. Results: Three main categories emerged as competency i.e. inefficient mechanism student recruitment, ineffective education, gloomy outlook profession. Conclusion: Training qualified dynamic process requires enrolling appropriate preparing suitable infrastructure train, training them effectively, providing in-service training, necessary motivation professional development health settings.
